Healthy Reasons Why You Should Drink Organic Juices

Organic juices may not look the most appetizing drinks in the world, in fact some look like they have been created out of some sort of industrial sludge. But these rather dull looking drinks are some of the healthiest you can imbibe.

The evidence is irrefutable that organic is good, and if you are already a keen juicer then ensure that the vegetables and fruit you put into your blender are free of pesticides and any other damaging GMO’s. Below are valid reasons why you should consume organic juices on a regular basis starting with antioxidants.

The Benefits of Antioxidants

Many foods can contain antioxidants, and these are mostly ones that are high in vitamin A and C. Substances such as manganese and beta-carotene are also highly recommended. Without helpful antioxidants you are at greater risk of vision loss, atherosclerosis and certain cancers.

Organic Equals Less Pesticides

Less is always better when it comes to pesticides, and although normal foods have a limit how many pesticides are contained it really is better for your health if you try to avoid them. Certain pesticides have been linked with problems such as cancer and even Parkinson’s disease.

Know What You are Eating

You should be fully aware of what you are consuming, always read food labels and ensure there are no harmful additives such as preservatives, and fortifying agents. These are common in foodstuffs such as artificial sweeteners and colorings. Organic food is normally free of such agents so you can drink your juice in comfort.

Organic is Better for the Environment

Reducing your carbon footprint is something that all of us should be trying to achieve. And because organic farming is healthiest for the environment by consuming organic foods you are helping your fellow man. This is certainly a big reason why you should always look to consume organic produce.

More Nutrients

Have you ever stopped to think how invigorated you feel after downing your favorite organic juice? That is because organic fruits and vegetables are crammed full of nutrients, and full of magnesium, phosphorous, iron, and vitamin C.

No GMO’s

GMO’s are crops that have been grown in an unnatural way, basically they are genetically modified. Sometimes this happens when a large supermarket wants perfectly round tomatoes, or crops are infused with bacteria so that they form their own insecticide, this is called a Bt-toxin. The problem with this practice is that the resulting chemical is not just poisonous to the bugs it is meant to kill it is also harmful to humans.

Organically Fresh

We all love eating the freshest foods we can lay our hands on, and if you have elected to eat organically then you must consume the produce as quickly as possible. This is because there are no artificial preservatives to make the food look fresh. If something has been lying in the fridge for a week and still looks okay, then the advice is to throw it away. The above reasons are why you should consume as many organic juices that you can possibly make and try experimenting with the ingredients as you may discover something really delicious.
